GRE is an exam which has to be entered in order to get post-graduate and masters education in universities providing English education especially in engineering and social sciences in the United States of America and other countries (including Turkey). Every year, approximately 600.000 post-graduate education student candidates from almost 230 countries enter GRE General Test. The candidates from different countries have various educational backgrounds and the GRE General Test is the common measurement method for matching these various qualifications.
GRE test is applied by the Educational Testing Service (ETS). The test is applied under two different titles.
GRE General Test is an exam with general extent and it has to be entered by all students who apply for the post-graduate and masters programs where GRE General Test is determined as the acceptance criteria.
The test consists of 3 multiple-choice sections (Quantitative, Verbal and Analytic) and the composition section.
2 questions are asked in the composition section. The first question is the section where comments on a particular subject is asked has 45 minutes and the second question is the section where it is requested from us to reason on an argument has 30 minutes.
